Football Entertainment and 360-Degree Video Technology
The Goal360 TV technology has transformed the way fans engage with their favourite sports teams and events. Some of the biggest clubs in Europe have already made it a key part of their digital strategy. Others have used the technology to create social media content that takes fans closer to the action than ever before.
Whether you want to see pregame warm-ups from the players’ perspective or be courtside for one of the biggest college basketball games of the year, it’s all possible thanks to this new technology. And this technology has even caught the eye of some fans who use it to live-stream their own personal sporting moments.
360° Football Experience: Immersive Entertainment Beyond the Field
One man who’s experienced the tech firsthand was Robert Barnhart, a fan from California who used a company called Confirmed360 to purchase tickets for Z100’s annual Jingle Ball concert at Madison Square Garden in December 2018. He says that when he arrived at the event, he was given six lower-level passes and that Confirmed didn’t bother to tell him that he hadn’t received what he paid for until he texted them on the day of the show.
A former employee of the firm accused the company’s CEO of misappropriating trade secrets and encouraging employees to do business outside of Confirmed360, as well as destroying company systems and customer lists in an attempt to divert customers away from the legitimate ticket resale service. The lawsuit was settled out of court.
